Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Allen Friedman passed away on January 26, 2023. He is survived by his daughter Linda Marshall and husband David Marshall, son Steven Friedman, grandsons Adam and Joshua Marshall, and sister Joan Newmark. His wife, Eleanor Friedman, predeceased him by several months.
Allen grew up in Queens, NY. He received a bachelor’s degree from City College of New York, a master’s degree in physics from Yale University, a Ph. D. in physics from Columbia University, and a J. D. from Seton Hall University. He worked first as a physicist and then as an attorney, mostly specializing in patent law. In retirement, Allen and his wife Eleanor enjoyed travel, golf, reading, playing card games, and spending time with family (particularly their grandchildren) and friends. Allen and Eleanor moved to Rockville, MD in October of 2021.
