Aurora A. Constantino, R.R.A., age 88, of Hyattsville, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. She was born January 4, 1930, in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija, Philippines to Juliana (Antonio) Constantino and Abraham Pascual Constantino.
Aurora graduated from Far Eastern University in Manila. At 30 years' old, she immigrated to the United States on a medical records administration scholarship sponsored by the U.S. Public Heath Service. Following her training, she attained certification as a registered records administrator (RRA). Aurora held positions in medical records at hospitals including Washington Adventist Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital in Chicago. After several years as chief of medical records at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C., she retired in 1994.
Aurora was a loyal fan of the Washington Redskins, good or bad. She enjoyed traveling to several international destinations and gardening in her yard. Aurora was proud of her many beloved nieces and nephews, and very much enjoyed visiting with them. Although she was never one to reveal, her love and financial generously allowed several nieces and nephews to attend college and enjoy fulfilling careers and lives.
Aurora is survived by sisters Becky Ratana of Silver Spring, Maryland; Resurrection (Cezar) Clarete of Manila, Philippines; and numerous nieces and nephews and their growing families.
Aurora was preceded in death by father Abraham Pascual Constantino and mother Juliana (Antonio) Constantino. Siblings who preceded her in death include Rhodelia (Loretto) Monta, Abraham Jr. (Rose Bana), Herminia (Tomas) Cunanan, Danito (Evelyn Santos), Luzvimida Constantino and Renato Constantino.
