On October 6, 2018. Pre-deceased by his wife Audrey and his son Michael Steele. Survived by his daughter Kim Steele; grandchildren Charles, Thomas, David, Anna, and Susie; and daughter-in-law Elaine Steele. Bill graduated from the University of Maryland in 1950 and remained an avid Terp fan throughout his life. He was an active member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity for over 41 years serving as chapter supervisor and president of the alumni group in his adult years. He retired from IBM in 1981 after 31 years. He will be dearly missed. Those who knew him referred to him as the nicest man they knew. Services will be held at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10 am.
