Coula Kaleyias, age 103, passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2024. She was born in Greece and was one of six girls and six boys. During the war, she met, and married her husband, Steve Kaleyias who predeceased her in 2003.
In 1953 she and her husband and two daughters, Tina, and Athena, emigrated to America to start a new life and where they added to their family their three boys, Frank, Peter (deceased in infancy), and Nick. She was a devout Greek Orthodox and loved America and could be constantly heard saying “God Bless America.” She was a loving, devoted and giving wife, mother and friend and loved to cook and entertain family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Tina Brown and Athena Szluk (Peter) sons, Frank Kaleyias and Nick Kaleyias, granddaughter Carole Corriveau (Pat), grandsons, Stephen Szluk (Michelle) and Brian Szluk (Elizabeth) and great-grandchildren Meggan Choate, Connor Meere, Isabella Szluk, David Szluk and Jack Corriveau.
