Deborah (Debbie) Kaufman Kennedy passed away March 27, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on July 14, 1945 in Harrisburg, PA. Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Morris and Golde Kaufman, and her husband, James Kennedy. She is survived by her daughter, Anna Soisson and husband David Soisson, and grandchildren, Maya and Juliette Soisson.
Debbie was an esteemed alumni of William Penn High School, where she was valedictorian of her class of 1963. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1967, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Math. After graduation, she went on to work as a computer scientist for Alcoa and later for The Pentagon. She was also an active participant in the Harrisburg Community Theater during her teenage years, and had a passion for musical theater throughout her life.
Over the course of her life, she had many hobbies including reading, particularly non-fiction literature and built up a significant library of books in her home. She was especially skilled at sewing and knitting and created her own clothes and also had many pet guinea pigs for whom she cared for. Debbie loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, and will be dearly missed.
