

She was born on April 1, 1932, in Princeton, Kentucky. Doris married the love of her life, William Hayden “Lefty” Burlingame Jr., and together they built a life centered on love and family.
She was a devoted mother to the late William Michael Burlingame and Teri Lynn Moscatelli (Steve). Doris is survived by granddaughters: Lauren Nguy (preceded in death by her husband, Brian), Melanie Wooldridge(Jeff), Christina Moscatelli, and Stacey Burlingame. She was also blessed with two great-granddaughters, Kaelyn and Harper, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her sister, Lena Mae Speorl and many more friends and family including Ronnie Speorl and Sharon Sanchez(Joe).
Known for her friendliness, kindness, and unwavering commitment to family, Doris touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for the warmth she carried into every room and the deep love she gave to those around her.
There will be a celebration of life from 9:30 to 11 a.m. with friends and family followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 13 at Riderwood Village Chapel: 3140 Gracefield Road., Silver Spring, Maryland 20904.
A graveside service will take place on Sunday, September 14, at 2 p.m. at Fort Lincoln Cemetery: 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, Maryland 20722.
