Our dear, Gabriel Gomes, 87, of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary, 4 children, and 6 grandchildren. He was beloved by his family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gabriel is the son of Vincent (Master) Gomes and Rita Gomes of Master Bari, Hashnabad, Bangladesh. He came to the U.S. in 1981, and later brought the family. He retired after working for Washington Hilton for over 25 years.
He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He liked to go fishing, loved to garden and was passionate about cooking. He was also affectionate with his grand nieces and nephews.
A viewing for Gabriel will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave, MD 20904.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Saint Camillus Church, 1600 St Camillus Dr, Silver Spring, MD 20903.
A committal service will occur Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
