George Samuel Chesky, Jr.

George was born in the Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Maryland to George Sr. and Mildred Chesky on July 25, 1934. He passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025 at the age of 91.

George graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School and pursued a career in the printing industry. In 1972, he opened his own printing company, Professional Graphics Printing Co. He enjoyed a successful career until his retirement in 2010 at which time his daughters, Diane Cutler and Kathleen Ely, took over the company.

George is predeceased by his wife Mary of 54 years and his beautiful daughter Patricia Kelly. He is survived by his other 5 daughters, MaryAnn (Paul), Diane (Kenny), Kathleen (Larry), Theresa (Greg) and Carolyn. He is also survived by 14 beloved grandchildren, 6 of whom are married, 19 precious great-grandchildren and one more great is on the way. His family was his pride and joy and he encouraged family togetherness with Big Fam Holiday gatherings and by sponsoring Family Beach Week in the Outer Banks for 20+ years. A lifetime of memories for all was made during those beach weeks.

Besides his family we cannot forget to mention the importance of his 4-legged companions. He always had a slightly overweight dachshund by his side. He was also a long-time avid Commanders (always the Redskins to him) and Nationals Fan. Sports were his favorite pastime.

He was the most generous man to family, friends and anyone who crossed his path that needed a helping hand. He was the best Dad, Granddad and Great-Granddad. He was so loved and will be missed beyond words.

Funeral arrangements follow:

Visitation will be held at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, Legacy Room, located at 11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD, 20904, on October 27, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Funeral Service will take place at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD, 20904, on October 28, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Committal and Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD, 20906, at 1:00 pm on October 28, 2025.
