Jerry lived a vibrant, active, and joy-filled life. Born in Washington, D.C., he was a proud graduate of Gonzaga High School and Georgetown University. He went on to serve his country with honor as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, a role he carried with deep pride. Following his service, Jerry dedicated more than 30 years to the Federal Government, where he built a meaningful career rooted in commitment and integrity.
Beyond his professional life, Jerry’s true happiness was found in the people and passions he loved most. He will be remembered for his love of coaching baseball, refereeing basketball, and sharing his joy of western shows and oldies music. He had a gift for bringing people together—whether through laughter, a clever saying, or his famous banana bread that warmed many hearts and homes.
Above all, Jerry cherished his family. He was a deeply devoted husband, celebrating 50 years of marriage with Terry Lee, the love of his life. His children, Adam and Jenna, were his pride and joy, and he delighted in every moment spent with them. His love extended boundlessly to his twin grandchildren, Colin and Ella, who brought him endless happiness. He treasured their Sunday traditions of donuts and laughter, and he never missed the chance to cheer them on from the sidelines at their sporting events.
Jerry’s love, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. To love Jerry was to know kindness, laughter, and generosity. He will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever with love.
The family will be having a private memorial service at a later date.
