

Hilma Robbins Blair died at MedStar Montgomery Hospital on October 27, 2017 following complications due to pneumonia. She was 84. Mrs. Blair was born on February 24, 1933 in Parkersburg, WV to her parents, Snowden and Nora Robbins. She attended West Virginia University and University of Maryland where she earned her Bachelors degree in Public Administration. She married Forbes Wesley Blair, an attorney. They moved to Silver Spring, MD, where Mrs. Blair worked as a journalist and teacher. She raised two children, Kristin Blair Cooper and Forbes Robbins Blair. She also served for 10 years for the Supervisors of Elections in Montgomery County. Mrs. Blair was active in politics and had a passion for history. She was also part of a group of seniors called the Owls in her church, First Alliance in Silver Spring. Mrs. Blair is survived by her son, Forbes Robbins Blair. She is preceded in death by her husband, Forbes Wesley Blair and her daughter Kristin Blair Cooper. She was interred at a private ceremony. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, November 16, 2017 12 noon at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD, 20904.
