Josephine Mama Dupigny

Josephine Mama Dupigny was born on June 12th 1943 in Kambia, Sierra Leone. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends on Monday May 23rd, 2022. Josephine was the first born child of six children.

Josephine graduated from Harford Secondary School in Moyamba, Sierra Leone. Being a God fearing person and having great empathy for all she met, she treated people with kindness, respect and compassion. Her strong desire to help people moved her to pursue a career in nursing which she never completed as she met the man of her life.

In September 1967, Josephine married Alex Rowland Dupigny (deceased) and was blessed with seven children; Eunice, Regina, John, Josephine, Eugenia, Alexcia (deceased) and Alex(deceased). It was during this blissful marriage that they came in contact with Jehovah’s Witnesses. Josephine loved Jehovah with her whole heart and never compromised her love for Jehovah.

Josephine’s steadfast love for Jehovah moved her to dedicate her life to Jehovah and was baptized at the 1968 International Convention as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She had a strong desire to share with all those she came in contact with the hope for a better future and Jehovah's promise of a new world. Her fervent prayer was for her family and friends to serve Jehovah and she tried her best reaching out to others to have an accurate knowledge of the true God.
