Juliette Laura Hanley

On Sunday, March 1st, 2020 Juliette Laura Hanley, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away at the age of 59 in her home. Juliette was born on September 17th, 1960 in the beautiful island of Dominica to William and Lisha Faustine-Southwell. On April 29, 1990, she married Joseph Hanley. They raised three sons, George, David and Louis, and one daughter, Lenora.

Juliette had a passion for food and cakes. She loved to cook and bake, and she combined her two favorite hobbies to create extraordinary art. Her beautiful desserts of various kinds were much admired and enjoyed not only by friends and family, but also by all who frequented the bakery where she worked. Juliette thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. She learned to swim at the early age of 4 and began climbing and hiking at age 6. Juliette loved to host and entertain and frequently had gatherings at her home. For many years, Juliette lived in St. Croix US Virgin Islands. She enjoyed her time in St. Croix and made many lifelong friends there.

Juliette had unwavering faith and loved the Lord. She served as a Deaconess at the New Life Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she was a member. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious personality, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Juliette is survived by her husband Joseph, her four children, George, David, Louis and Lenora, her brothers Euseff, Bernard, Jones, Kelvin, Francis and sisters, Pamela and her dearest Veronica; and a large number of other relatives and close friends.

Juliette requested a private viewing and service. The family wishes to thank all of those who loved and cared for her during her battle with her heart condition - Cardiomyopathy. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 15th, 2020 at the New Life Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland at 3 o’clock p.m.
