A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Larry was born in Brooklyn, NY. Parents Murray and Sarah raised Larry and his brother, David, in Brooklyn in close proximity to family and with summer trips to the New Jersey countryside. Larry graduated at the age of 16 from Thomas Jefferson High School and followed in the footsteps of an uncle to attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He did the New York Times crossword puzzle in ink and relished good food and wine, attending his grandson’s games, and fitness. He was a high school swimmer, a once frequent tennis player, and later in life an avid cyclist, riding across many miles with a dedicated group of friends. Along with his wife Bev, Larry enjoyed trips to Europe, Asia, Israel, and Alaska. Larry and his grandson shared an enduring passion for University of Michigan football and basketball, and would often watch games together.
In honoring his memory, donations may be made to Bikes for the World or The Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center.
