Was thinking of Skipper Krach today. Not sure why but we were friends and neighbors when we were kids. Actually my BFF. We played everyday. If this is the Skipper I knew I am sorry to see this news. 😢 God Speed my friend.

How can I forget you Lou?! I sometimes catch myself saying "I need to visit Lou today and have a talk!" Enjoy your beautiful peaceful existence. Rest in Peace until we meet again.

I am so sorry to find out about Lou's passing. He was such a great, interesting, and likable guy. I would visit him at Oak Hill whenever I had the chance. I was hoping to reconnect with him, but now like everyone else I am left missing him. RIP Lou!!

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Lou's passing. He was a fascinating and witty guy. He had enormous talent. RIP.

Interment and a celebration of life will be held at Oak Hill will be Sunday March 15, 2020 at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, Mr Krach asked that donations be made in his memory to the Oak Hill Cemetery Historic Preservation Foundation specifically for the restoration of the Bigelow Iron Fence. 
Louis was born to Louis P. Krach and Muriel Eleanor Krach in Baltimore, MD in June 1952. He attended the Graphic Arts Institute and Maryland Institute of Fine Art. He pursued a successful career as a Graphic Designer working with several companies including Earle Palmer Brown Companies, Woodward and Lothrop, Washington National Cathedral, and PVI Office Furniture, among others. For the past seven years, Mr. Krach served as the Weekend Superintendent at the Historic Oak Hill Cemetery in Georgetown where he acted as host and gatekeeper for families and guests of the cemetery. He was 67 years old. 


Well, my fears were founded. My friend Lou passed away last month. His cancer had intensified and even though he put on a brave face, I could tell how much he was suffering the last few times I saw him.
I would visit him at his workplace every so often, share stories, jokes, and talk about the old times -- we worked near one another many years ago, but although we knew some of the same people, we never met back then. We had a lot of catching up to do. He was witty, outrageous and a fun person. 
My deepest condolences to his family,  friends and loved ones. I hope Lou is basking in beauty and happiness in the next world.
