Lynn Berk

On September 18, 2024, Lynn Berk passed away in the hospital in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Lynn dedicated her life to building community across suburban Washington, DC and touched thousands of youths and seniors of all ages as a youth director, counselor, and coordinator at numerous synagogues and Jewish institutions throughout her life. Lynn also served in leadership roles with Seaboard Region Hadassah and Brandeis Women's Network. In recent years, she built her community amongst the hundreds of senior citizens as social butterfly and Activities Chair of Turnberry Courts at Leisure World of Maryland.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Berk; son Mitchell Berk, (Susan Najda) of Washington, DC, brother Rabbi Burt Visotzky (Sandra Edelman) of New York, New York, sister-in-law, Luanne Good (Alan) of San Diego and numerous beloved nephews, nieces and cousins.

Funeral Sunday, September 22 11:30 a.m. at Ohr Kodesh Congregation, 8300 Meadowbrook Lane, Chevy Chase, Maryland 20815. Interment to follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 9500 Riggs Road, Adelphi, Maryland 20783. The family will be receiving guest Sunday afternoon through Monday evening at the Turnberry Courts Community Room, 3005 South Leisure World Boulevard, Silver Spring, Maryland.
