A final thought as the guest book closes on3/15/2017 -- thanks to all of you who have taken the time to leave a message.

Fifty seven years though good time and some difficult times -- it is the past three years in a downsized home in Leisure World that we continued to grow closer.  I understood the marriage vow relating to "in sickness and in health" and feel that I did my best to fulfil that obligation.  I had no anticipation, however, of the level of grief I feel with the arrival of "'til death do us part."  Love, Ron

I am so sorry for your loss.  I remember Mrs. Grill very fondly growing up in Rockville.  She always had a smile (which she passed down to her girls) and was always gentle and kind.  One of the cornerstones of that little Rockville neighborhood.  My thoughts and prayers go to Mr. Grill, his three daughters and their families.  She will be sorely missed.

Our condolences to you and your family Mr. Grill and to your daughter Amy Spenski whom our family affectionately love as "MamaSpenski", may God's love and His amazing grace be with you and your families now and always.

I will never forget Grandma Grill's love of spending time with her family and the immense love she held for all of her grandchildren. One of the fondest memories I have of Grandma was when all of the grandchildren were young and we used to sit at the bottom of the steps in the living room and cheer her down the stairs chanting "Go Grandma go, go Grandma go". I also remember her love of angels and how she had an angel for each one of her grandchildren that were prominently displayed on the window next to the kitchen table where she would always eat. Grandma was one of the most kind and loving individuals I have ever met and she taught me so much about the importance of family. You will be missed Grandma, but I find joy in knowing that you are in a better place now and you will always be watching over me cheering me on in life as I used to cheer you down the stairs as a child.

 I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss. If Amy got her passion for life from her mother, then I really wish I could have met her. I know there is nothing I can do or say that could take any of your pain away. But know that you are in my prayers and thoughts and I hope they lift you up and carry you through this time.

This has been a very hard several weeks for the Grill and Magnusen families.  We'll never quite get over it.  Watching her husband and 3 girls grieve, breaks my heart - there is nothing we can do, give them, or say that will give them immediate relief.  What I can offer is a saying that has been with me most of my life..."You gave me love and trust and joy, and although you are no longer by my side, I will have you forever in my heart."

Mary and I were life-long friends.  We went through elementary to high school together.  We went to basketball, baseball and football games together, etc.  She was a great friend, lots of fun and always faithful.  Her photo here is just right.  Her smile just as I remember.  We haven't seen each other for many years but thankfully she called me last year to say "hello" and I cherish that conversation now.

Ron, Kathy, Lorie, Amy - My heart goes out to each of u with much love and heartbreaking grief. Our 50 year friendship is a treasure forever. Mary spread love and compassion to everyone she touched. I treasure her phone call last month forever.

My heart breaks each time the reality of my mother's passing enters my thoughts. There are really no words to describe the impact my mother had on my life. I know this because the past few days I have tried unsuccessfully to express them. There are only feelings.... indescribable feelings. Feelings that make my heart burst and my whole being melt. Because my mother was my insides. She IS my insides. My sensitivity, my confidence, my strength, my compassion, my laughter, my loyalty, and ultimately my motivation to heal. I love you Mom and I miss you so much- but you are well with God now, and in knowing that I will be ok too.  Amy

I find myself most fortunate for having the opportunity to have Mary a part of my life.  Probably the strongest person I've ever known not only for enduring the physical struggles of her life but for doing so while exuding love and grace to all around her.  There is a special place in heaven for her and knowing she will be there, gives me peace.  I truly am a blessed man to have given the opportunity to spend time and share experiences with Mary.  Her impact on my life and my children's(her Grandchildren's) life will endure for all our remaining days and has made us all the better.
