Mary Shiu Lee

Born on August 18, 1929, in Kaukong/Namhoi, China, Mary married Fung Dak Lee on June 26, 1947. The two were lifelong companions until his passing in 1985.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved son, Eddie, and is survived by her cherished daughter-in-law, Emma, and children Frank (Mary Beth), Jeanette (John), Carol (Alan), and Tommie (Kelli). She was also the proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, who were her greatest source of joy and pride. Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured her family above all else and whose love and guidance touched every generation.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. A private burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Washington Chinese Youth Club, an organization close to her heart.
