
Mildred Lerner Rosen, devoted wife and loving mother, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020. She was born on March 21, 1920 to Jennie and Samuel Lerner of Philadelphia, Pa. Mrs. Rosen, Millie to numerous friends and family, was the wife of the late Irvin G. Rosen of Bethesda, Md. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Rosen and Sandra Rosen both of Bethesda, Md. and her sister, Harriet Chaikin of Silver Spring, Md. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Newman, Cherry Hill, NJ; and Selma Teitelbaum, Silver Spring, Md. Mrs. Rosen was well known for her work with Langley Hebrew congregation, renamed as Temple Israel, where she served on numerous committees and participated on the Board of the Sisterhood serving as President from 1963 -1964. During her long and productive 100 years she was an anchor for her family and community. She was admired for kindness and strength which were hallmarks of her giving personality. Her lifelong dedication to her children was exemplary. Due to Covid restrictions private graveside services are scheduled at Mount Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad.
