Manolin, Thinking of Monique this morning.  She was a beautiful lady with all the grace and class of her generation.  She was kind and welcoming and I'm so glad I had a chance to meet her.  May she be enjoying heaven to the fullest next to our Lord.  Love, Silvana, Manuel, and Miguel. ❤️

I worked with Monique for three years. and she always kept me out of trouble. She was a wonderful kind person. We will miss her.

Mickie was so faithful and giving. Her kindness to my Sister never failed. A large hole has opened in my life, but I'm glad her fight, about which she was so brave, is over.

Dear Manolin, Monique was such a loving and kind person. I remember so vividly how she welcomed me into your home and family when I first came to stay, back when I was just 25. She just swept me off my feet, she was so full of life and enthusiasm, so hard-working, and always laughing and telling stories, even though she was already having treatment for cancer. She stayed a true friend ever since and I am so very happy that I was lucky enough to know and love her. I will be thinking of you all on Saturday. Love Pixie xxx

Monique, you were one of my work moms, and a mentor and inspiration.  I miss you very much and hope that you are at peace.  To Manuel and Monique's beautiful family (she so very often shared photos of her granddaughters), I wish much peace and strength during this difficult time.  Your wife/mother/grandmother was a truly exceptional human being.

Mickey had a talent for remembering people and making them feel special. Not only did she never forget a birthday, but she could often remember your birthday even before you remembered it yourself. When inviting people to lunch or dinner, had a way of making you feel like you were the only person that mattered. In today's busy world, Mickey was also that rare person who routinely found time to visit you, and always showed a genuine interest in how you were doing. For her, life was about people, and for that reason, she was caring and giving even to the very end. We will all miss her dearly.

Dear Manolin,
As you know, as children Mickey and I used to celebrate Christmas together with our families, including the Phippses and Gagnerons.  Our paths seldom crossed over the years but those were happy memories.  The photos in this gallery showed what I missed,  the connection between the shy, attractive girl I knew as a child and the warm, intelligent and courageous woman we knew later in northern Virginia.   Linda and I remember the good times we had together, particularly one New Year's Eve.  We have all suffered a loss, you especially. We offer our deepest condolences.
