She was the devoted Mother of five adult children: Bao & his wife Thanh, Hai, Dung & his wife Linh, Van & her husband Long, Tam & her husband Edwin. She was also the loving grandmother of nine grandchildren: Kevin, Julianne, Jimmy, Ricky & his wife Thuy, Alan, Vivian, Shaina and Hanna. She was the caring great-grandmother of five young children: Keanu, Jensen, Eason, Konane, and Kaia.
Nam Thi Nguyen was born in Nam Dinh, Vietnam, in 1932. She was married to Bon Si Nguyen (deceased) in 1955 in Dalat, Vietnam. After her husband passed away in 1967, she worked full time as a seamstress in the Dalat Hospital, and at the same time raised five young children, ranging from 3 months to 10 years old. All five of her children are now grown and doing very well in spite of the many difficulties (single parent with limited income, the Vietnam war, and immigrating to a new country) - a great accomplishment for which she was very proud! She immigrated to the United States in December 1982 with her three daughters to reunite with her two sons living in the US since 1975. In 1988, she was re-married to Tuan Ngoc Ngo, and lived with him until his death in 2012. Her health continued to deteriorate in recent years, but she was a FIGHTER! She survived three trips to the emergency room and the COVID infection in the rehab center.
We miss her very much! At the same time, we feel relieved that she is no longer suffering, knowing that she is finally at peace, in God’s hands.
