Seguye a year has gone by and I still miss you more than I can possibly say, there can never be anyone like you. Even after an entire year your loss hurts more and memories of you floods my mind.

It’s so hard saying goodbye to a great man who has meant a lot to many of us.  

Nobody could match Segu for making people feel special. I’ll always remember how he has made our weddings, every family event and even funerals glamorous. He was the ‘telek sew’ we all looked up for inspiration.

The life lessons he taught me, the love he gave, the way he cared for people…all those good things live on with me.  I will always remember how it felt to be with him and be loved by him. I hope those memories will bring comfort in time.

He was a wonderful father, and a father to others as well.  He was a good listener and comes with wonderful advises.  The way he welcomes you at home for any purposes, it was one of a kind, always cheerfully. The bond Segu had with the kids, which I saw little, but heard so much from Emu, is sooooooo strong.  I can only pray that God gives you all the strength to overcome this situation.  God loves him more; He called him up where he can watch over all of you.  You all have beautiful memories to look back to.

Sometimes you can be too late to say thank you to someone that you appreciate. The last time that I saw Segu I could clearly see his resemblance to his father. His father would always go so far to help me and my mother. He was always kind and I thought of him as family, even though we weren't blood relatives. When I last saw Segu he reminded me of his father so much. I wanted to tell him how much I appreciated everything that him and his father did for us. I wanted to say that they were both generous people. I'm so sad that it's too late to tell him how I feel.
