Angelina was born on May 22, 1920. She was one of 11 children to Melvina Lebelle and Joseph (formerly Levesque) Bishop of Norridgewock, Maine.
At the age of 10 Angelina’s parents suffered untimely deaths, forcing her and her four siblings into the orphanage in Jackman, where she remained until she was 16.
In 1936 she traveled to Bucksport to stay with her loving older brother Charlie and his family. While there, she got to know her nieces and nephews quite well and remained close to them for the rest of her life.
While in Bucksport she met her husband Wilbur B. Reed and they were wed in South Portland, in 1941.
Eventually they moved to Millinocket, where they raised four children- Wilbur, Jean, Dick (Richard), and Kay (Katherine).
In her later years, Angelina returned to Skowhegan, where she enjoyed the remainder of her life.
She was a devout Catholic who loved her family and friends very much. She enjoyed the simplest things in life, such as watching movies, looking forward to hearing from her son, Wilbur, daily, driving around with her close friend Sarah, visiting with her special nieces Ruth and Angie, or just enjoying the visits from Sarah, Katie, Cathy, and Rob (her grandson and family).
She had a great sense of humor and will be missed by many.
Angelina was predeceased by her husband Wilbur Bullock Reed, her beloved daughter Jean Manzo and many brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son Wilbur and his wife Pat of Pennsylvania, her son Dick and his wife Veronica, of Milbridge, her daughter Kay, of Florida, and her only living sibling, Alma Poulliot, of St. Albans, her grandchildren: Chris French, former granddaughter-in-law Karen French and their children Steffan, Danielle and Cameron, Bill French and his wife Lisa, Laurie Castriota and her husband Louie, Robert Manzo, Jr. and his wife Catherine, Steven Manzo and his wife Melissa, Wanda Beal and her husband Mike, Rich Reed and his wife Angela, Gary Reed and his wife Diana, Lisa Mazzola and her husband Mike and Jeana Morrison, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Water Street, Skowhegan, Maine, with her burial to follow at the Calvary Cemetery, North Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
