

He was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Bangor, the son of the late David O. Maddocks and Elise (Miller) Maddocks Whitmore.
Conrad graduated from Hampden Academy, Hampden, and Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in Boston. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He worked in the field of accounting for Donald S. Day & Co. in Bangor, Diamond International in Old Town and Madison Paper Co. in Madison, until retiring in 1992.
He was a past master and 50-year member of the Hampden Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed spending summers at his camp on Ambejejus Lake, gardening, the Red Sox, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Conrad is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanie-Dawn (Jensen) Maddocks; three children, Kim Worsfold and her husband, John, Kristen Sanders and her husband, Joel, and David Maddocks and his wife, Lynn; sister-in-law Margot and her husband, Jon MacDonald; grandchildren Kari-Ann Burr, Ananda Usman, Sarah DePreter, Adam Sanders, Kelly Sanders, Meghan Maddocks and Ryan Maddocks; his great-grandchildren, Joseph, Ameera, Rabiya, and Zayad; nieces and nephews Michael and Adam Bernier, the Rev. Norman Brown, Kirk, Laura and Glenn Smallidge and his faithful dog Maddy-May.
He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his sisters, Ellen Brown and Elizabeth Smallidge.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, at the Skowhegan Federated Church, Island Avenue, Skowhegan, with the Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. A reception will follow the service. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, at the Millinocket Cemetery in Millinocket.
