

She was born June 5, 1915 in Waterville, Maine, the daughter of Chester Grant and Grace (Stetson) Grant.
She was a life member of the Eastern Star, and a long-time member of the Rebekah’s and she was also a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church.
Grace worked at Skow Moc as a littleway stitcher for several years. In her mid-life, she attended business school and later worked at Norrwock Shoe #2 as a front office receptionist.
Grace was predeceased by her husband of 74 years, Victor, and her younger daughter Vicki Roberts Sayre and her grandson, Steven Sayre.
She is survived by her daughter Grace “G.G.” Roberts of Skowhegan, her son-in-law James Sayre of Ohio, her grandsons Shon Sayre and his wife Robyn, two step great-grandsons and two step-great-great grandchildren; Jeffrey Sayre and his wife Cathy, great-granddaughter, Angela Sayre; and Mary Sayre Messick and her husband Jason, and great-grandson James Messick; nieces Lucille Grant of Searsport, Kay Kaylin of TX, and Eleanor Jackson of Wiscasset; one first cousin Sally Barney of Waterville and many other cousins and many long-time friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday September 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Southside Cemetery in Skowhegan.
The family would like to extend gratitude to Redington Fairview General Hospital and the Cedar Ridge Center for the exceptional care and compassion.
