Howard Robbins

MADISON- Howard Robbins passed away at his home in Madison on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the age of 71. He was born in Morristown, New Jersey, the son of Jack Robbins and Elizabeth (Abramowitz) Robbins. He was a member of the first graduating class of Parsippany High School in Parsippany, New Jersey, and attended Rugter’s University, New Jersey. Howard married Barbara (Gravalec) in June of 1963. He spent his life as a self-employed contractor in both New Jersey and Maine.

Howard was a member of the Cadillac LaSalle Club, the Knucklebusters Motor Club and a past member of the Skowhegan Rotary Club. Howard is survived by his wife, Barbara of 50 years, one daughter, Dawnella Sutton, her husband, Jason, and grandson Jakob Sutton of Freedom; a brother, Dave Robbins and his wife, Sheila, of Skowhegan; a sister, June Bailey, her husband, Sonny, of Anson; several nieces and nephews; and close friend, Dom Ronaldi Jr. of Skowhegan, who was like a son to him.

He was predeceased by his mother and father; two brothers, Ronald, and Gerald Robbins. A gathering for Howard's family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan.
