

He was born November 11, 1941 in Norridgewock, Maine, the son of Raymond and Mary (Adams) Murray Sr. and Madeline (Godin) Libby.
He was educated in the Norridgewock and Skowhegan Schools.
Morris was in the US Air Force from 1961 – 1965 and was stationed in England during the Vietnam War. He served and loved his country.
He married Martha Joseph on April 3, 1965 in Skowhegan, Maine and they had 51 wonderful years together.
Morris spent 37 years of his working career as a pipefitter for Local #783. The next 32 years, he co-owned Murray's Pools with his wife Martha.
He was past member of the Knights of Columbus at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Skowhegan. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox and the Patriot's, loved to play poker and enjoyed going to the casinos. He received his greatest pleasures from spending time with his family , friends, traveling to his grandchildren's events and his home in Florida.
Morris is predeceased by his parents, brother Raymond Murray Jr. and sister Hester Marcia. Besides his wife Martha of 51 years of Norridgewock, he leaves his three children, Glenn Murray and his wife Gloria of Norridgewock, Deryk Murray of Epping, NH, Kim Gray and her husband Darren of Smithfield; one brother Douglas Murray and his wife Noreen of Madison; four sisters, Eva Bussell of Skowhegan, Pamela Gordon and her husband James of Norridgewock, Linda Atkinson and her husband Michael of Norridgewock, Donna Bickford and her husband Leonard of Norridgewock; Moe was Giddoo to eight grandchildren, Justin, Shawn, Samantha, Adam, Graydon, Lance, Nora, Martha; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Adeline; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like give special thanks to Dr Gina Gomez as well as the entire staff at Redington-Fairview General Hospital for the excellent care and compassion Morris received.
Viewing hours will be held on Sunday June 5, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 6, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, 273 Water St., Skowhegan, Maine. A burial will be held on Thursday June 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 129 Blue Star Ave., Augusta, Maine.
