Mike was well known in his younger years as an accomplished snowmobile competitor, winning many races over two decades. Together with his wife they founded the local snowmobile club, the Skowhegan Sno Hawks, and spent many years working with club members creating and maintaining trails in the area.
In addition to racing Mike’s hobbies included fishing, four-wheeling, and camping. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed the time he spent watching and traveling to the races. He enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and created many wonderful memories for them over the years. He spent countless nights hosting card games and get-togethers and spending time with longtime friends, Ivan and Cheryl, and Jack and Sue. During the last year of his life, his companion, Mary Robinson, helped him remain at home and continue to do the things he enjoyed.
