He was born January 29, 1919 in Norridgewock, Maine, the son of the late Alexis and Adeline (Ouellette) Sirois.
Pat attended the Skowhegan Parochial Schools.
He married the former Elizabeth Boileau of Madison, Maine, on September 30, 1939, by Rev. Clement Frazier at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Madison, Maine.
In early years he worked for the Skowhegan Woolen Mill. Patrick worked in an aircraft factory in East Hartford and the South Portland ship yard during WWII. After the war he worked at the Hollingsworth and Whitney pulp mill in Madison. He continued to work for every pulp company at that location until he retired under Madison Paper Industries in 1986.
Everyone knew him as “Pat” and he was known as a dedicated worker. Even when work at the mill was slack, he hired himself out as a house painter and general carpenter. Every now and then, when he did have a little spare time, he liked to spend it in the woods hunting or along the river fishing. In the fall, if Pat wasn’t working in the mill, you could see (and hear) him at the Madison High School football games. Somehow, he always found time to go to the Madison-Skowhegan games. He could get a month’s worth of conversation about that game.
Pat never missed Mass at St. Sebastian’s where he was a communicant. Even to the end, he showed up with a shirt, tie and jacket. His church was an important part of his life.
He is survived by his children; Peter Sirois and his wife Joy of Madison, Edmond Sirois and his wife Donna of Warwick, R.I., Roger Sirois of Madison, Jane Pedicino and her husband Bill of Prairie Village, Kansas, twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Alexis and Adeline Sirois, and all of his siblings, Phillip Sirois, Joseph Sirois, Romeo Sirois, Blanche, Louise Fabbiacci, Irene Brown, and Annie Sirois, his wife Elizabeth and his infant son Joseph.
