She we born October 18, 1942 in West Enfield, Maine, daughter of the late Samuel Michaud and Rella (Saucier) Chesley.
Pauline was educated in West Enfield schools. She married Linwood L. (Towser) Bowers Jr. On January 21, 1960 in Lincoln, ME.
In addition to being a wonderful stay home Mom, she worked various seasonal jobs to help provide for the family until moving to Smithfield in the spring of 1977. After moving to Smithfield, she worked at Dexter Shoe Factory and New Balance in Skowhegan for many years until retiring in 2001 to care for her husband. After the passing of Towser in April of 2002 she moved to Clinton. Being the social person that she was, she then started working at Clinton Variety, a job she loved and worked with people she considered her second family.
She greatly cherished the time she spent with family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening, as well as knitting, sewing, playing Bingo and winning at slots.
She is survived by her four children, Layne Bowers and his wife Johnette of Clinton, Linwood Bowers III and his wife Teresa of New Market, AL., Lee Bowers of Detroit, Lynn Bulmer and husband Leland of Smithfield., her grandchildren Nikia, Nicole, Sarah, Amanda, Tiffany, Benjamin, Matthew and Brooklyn; 9 great grandchildren and a 10th on the way. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Cecelia Murphy, Beatrice Preston, Linda Kimball and Diane Beach. Many nieces and nephews and a great friend and companion Frank Spinney.
She was predeceased by her husbsnd of 42 years, her parents, her step father William Chesley and 2 brothers Danforth Michaud and Samuel Michaud Jr..
Viewing hours will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine, funeral service to follow at 3 pm with Reverend Brewster officiating. There will be a gathering following the funeral service. Location to be announced.
Burial will be held in the spring at the Mount Repose Cemetery in Burlington, Maine.
