

He was born June 16, 1933 in Waterville, Maine, the son of John H. and Delpha (Sherman) Lloyd.
He was educated and lived in North Vassalboro, Maine. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1950 and was employed with Harris Baking Company. He then served as sergeant in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He married Pauline T. Grenier on May 8, 1954, at the St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow, Maine.
They raised three daughters and one son. He graduated from Bentley College at which time he moved to Skowhegan, Maine and was employed with MedWed Footwear, Inc. He then was employed with Indian Oil Company and had an accounting and tax office at his home. He was employed with Irving Tanning Company as credit manager until his retirement in 1998 then continued his tax accounting at his home.
He was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Skowhegan. He was a charter member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Skowhegan, Maine, a charter member of the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union which is now Franklin-Somerset Federal Credit Union, serving on the board of directors as secretary for over 24 years, a charter member of the Skowhegan/Madison Fraternal Order of the Elk #2531 and also a life time member. He was an honorary 3rd degree member of the Knight of Columbus Council #2089 of Skowhegan; also a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus Council #2646 of Skowhegan and a member of the American Legion Post#16. He and his wife Pauline loved traveling all over every year until his retirement.
Sherman is survived by his loving wife Pauline of Skowhegan of 59 years, his children; Sandra Lloyd of Skowhegan, Janet Lloyd and her companion Larry Clark of Rumford, Donna Wacome and her husband George of Skowhegan, son Steven Lloyd and his wife Lisa of Palmer, MA, four grandchildren; David Wacome and his wife Amanda, Lauren Emery and her husband Dustin and their daughter Kaylee of Skowhegan, Joshua Lloyd and Matthew Lloyd of Palmer, MA, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Thursday April 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Water Street, Skowhegan, with father John Mazzei officiating. An internment will be held later in the spring at the Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan.
