She graduated from Skowhegan Area High School and received her Associates Degree in Business from University of Maine Augusta.
She spent every waking moment of her life working with her sister, Alicia under watchful eye of her father at the family business, Quinn Hardware.
Vanessa was a proud member of many organizations, including the Skowhegan Area Chamber of Commerce, the Redington Fairview General Hospital Board of Directors, the Order of the Eastern Star and many others. She was recently elected to the Skowhegan Board of Selectman or Selectwoman as she liked to say. However, she considered her crowning achievement to be as a mother to Emma Lee York.
She is survived by her daughter Emma York; her sisters, Alicia and Jessica; her mom Lynda; and many other loving family members.
A scholarship in her name will be established for a young woman from SAHA who plans to further her studies in business management. School address is 61 Academy Circle, Skowhegan, Maine 04976.
However, she will always be known as the biggest Nickleback fan!
Her arrangements are entrusted to the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
