

NORRIDGEWOCK - Viktor Normann Nilsen, Jr., age 67, of Norridgewock, passed away Monday, February 17. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, June 1946 to Viktor and Lena Nilsen. Viktor served in the United States Army Artillery from 1966 to 1968 in Korea and Fort Knox, Kentucky. In 1977, he relocated to Skowhegan and opened Vic’s Auto Repair. Viktor was an avid drag racing enthusiast and frequently raced in Winterport.
He formerly served as a youth leader at Trinity Evangelical Free Church and was a member of Crossroads Bible Church.
Viktor was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife Ruth of 45 years; three daughters, Victoria Nilsen, Susan Nilsen and Krysti Dabrowski; son-in-law, Patrick Dabrowski; grandchildren, Jonathan and Kaitlyn Dabrowski; mother, Lena Nilsen; and siblings, Anders Nilsen and Barbara DiGregorio.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 22 at Crossroads Bible Church, Madison followed by a time of fellowship.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home.
