

Harland was born February 24th, 1942 at home on the family farm in Snohomish, WA to Paul Krotke and Serena Niermann Krotke. He was number 7 of 8 children. Harland is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Ronald Krotke, Lois Bloomquist, Beverly Doerscher and Paul Krotke. He is survived by brother Gene Krotke of Port Townsend, and sister’s Carol Johnseon of Everett and Ethlynn (Toots) Andrews of Monroe.
Harland’s military service included Army Reserves and active service, which included service in the Cold War Era, Germany and Vietnam. He loved his military service. Harland was honorably discharged and retired February 1st 1968. He moved back to his hometown of Snohomish. With his farming background and his love of nature, he worked for several farms in Snohomish. His last job was with longtime friend and confidant, Dan Bartilhimers.
To know Harland was to love him. He was generous with his time and talents to help friends and family alike. Family was everything to Harland. His smile, sense of humor and a little silliness will be forever missed by all of his nieces and nephews.
Thank-you Dan! You were such a blessing to all of us. Thanks for your memories of uncle.

Celebration of life will be held at Bauer Funeral Chapel, 701 First Street, Snohomish, WA, 98290, on July 20th at 12:00 PM with a light lunch to follow.
