Jan. 30, 1938 – July 22, 2012
Jim passed away after an extended illness on July 22, 2012.
Jim was born January 30, 1938 to Xavier and Elaine (Jones) Bueler in Snohomish General Hospital, Snohomish, Washington. He attended Snohomish Schools and graduated from Snohomish High in 1956.
Jim had a successful 40 year career as a Union Carpenter working in commercial construction throughout Washington State. He retired with Baugh Construction in December of 1997. His last job, as general foreman for the construction of Benaroya Hall, which now houses the Seattle Symphony, was the one he was most proud of.
Jim was an avid sportsman and had a zest for life, fun and adventure. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and snow skiing, golfing, bowling, and traveling to places afar. He enjoyed landscaping and gardening, and his yard and garden were always picture- perfect and beautiful throughout the seasons. Jim was a member of the Jaycees and the FFA.
Jim played an active role in his children's lives as well. In addition to countless camping trips and teaching them the intricacies of hooking the Big One, he volunteered as coach for his son's basketball and little league baseball teams, and softball teams for his daughter.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn. They were to celebrate 55 years of marriage in September. He is survived by his children, James, Heidi Carter (Glenn), and Jeff; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his brother, Roy (Sandra); and countless nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, Xavier and Elaine; and his sister Cheryle Stillwell.
It's the circle of life, and it moves us all, through despair and hope, through faith and love, 'till we find our place, on the path unwinding. From the Lion King
