Marion Brown

Marion was born June 20, 1923 in Orrin N.D. to Jack and Kathrine Degenstein. She overcame many hardships in her life, but always had love in her heart.

Marion worked as a waitress before marrying Brownie August 5, 1950 on the pitcher’s mound of Averill field during Kla Ha Ya days. Together they raised 4 children. Marion worked for 20 years at Walt’s Milk House doing “men’s work” as she said many times. All the while remaining the sweet petit Lady she was.

She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend. Her house was always open and many called her Mom or Grandma Brown. Children especially loved her.

Marion is survived by her 4 children, Kathy Blair Helgeson, Rick Brown, Randy Brown and Tami Fischer. Her 11 Grandchildren, Chase, Josh, Brandi, Misty, Cody, Mandy, Jody, Rikki, Brett, Matt and Ashley. 17 Great Grandchildren and her beloved 101 year old Aunt Amelia Hagel.

Visitation will be Tues. Nov. 22nd 11 to 4 at Bauer Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Michael’s Church Snohomish at 11 am Wednesday November 23, Burial at GAR Cemetery 1:30.
