Royce,
Its hard to believe that today has been five years since I lost you. That day I met you at the gas station changed my life forever.  You were the most beautiful person I had ever seen - your amazing smile, your deep brown eyes, your tall muscular frame, your casual t-shirt and those rebellious tattoos. We  walked out of the gas station side by side and never looked back. 
We had so many fun times going on walks, listening to music in the car, exploring Seattle, watching the trains, eating at restaurants, visiting each other at work, sharing our dreams and talking about the future. We were two misunderstood people who had become best friends.
I remember dropping you off early one morning in May and kissing you goodbye. I had no idea it would be the last time I saw you. Your friend called me at work and told me what happened. It was so unreal. How could this happen to my best friend?
The years that followed were full of tears and heartache from missing you so much. It’s still hard to believe your gone because I can remember your love like yesterday. I wish I could tell your mom how much you missed her because you talked about her all the time and wanted to visit Norway soon. It may be five years today since you’ve been gone Royce but the depth of your love and the impact you had on my life will last forever.

Royce was my first best friend that i ever had. We met around 1992-93 and hung out all the time. Royce you will be missed.

Royce, I am sadden at the fact that time never allowed us to get to know each other to bond like a big sister and little brother should. Royce just know that one day The Lord will give us all the time that we will need.

We dated many years ago, we were just a couple of young teenagers. I am so sad to hear of your loss. You were such a funny guy and I will never forget our friendship. I send my thoughts and prayers to your Mother, Evy. May you rest in peace. Keep shining up there. You will always be missed and never forgotten.

I enjoyed the summers you would come to Dayton and visit with us. I have fond memories of that time. I only wished we ould have remained closer as we grew older; made more visits; made better efforts. We serve a great God and I'm assured in knowing you with him in peace. RIH little cousin....you are missed.
