

Sally was born August 7, 1942 in Piqua, Ohio to Louis “ Val “ Decker and Martha Freshour Decker. Sally Spent her childhood in Ohio, attending Piqua High School. Sally met William David “ Dave “ Spraul in Ohio and they were later married February, 3, 1963 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Piqua, Ohio.
Sally and Dave moved and lived throughout the United States including Ohio, New York, Washington, Oregon, California, and more. They had a very blessed, fortunate, and fun marriage.They had 3 children, Gregory, Jonathan, and Joan and they all had countless adventures and joys.
Sally worked extensively in the healthcare field throughout her life, and brought great care, compassion, and skills to her coworkers and patients.
Sally and her husband Dave were very active and hard working volunteers in numerous charities. Sally was the very first female president in a Kiwanis club ever. Some charities they supported were Catholic Charities, Meals on Wheels, Kiwanis Club, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, youth reading, and many more.
Sally was always quick with a smile, giving love and support to all who crossed her path. Some of her favorite activities were fishing, traveling, playing cards and board games, rockhounding, music and singing, golfing, gardening and landscaping, outdoor adventures, spending time with family and friends, and more. Sally had a great sense of humor and laugh. She was a kind, generous, funny and nurturing woman.
She is survived by her two sons Gregory ( Christy ) Spraul of Spokane Valley, WA., Jonathan (Sonya) Spraul and daughter Joan (Josep ) Davis; five grandchildren Kyle, Morgan, Jordan, Sydney, and Allison and numerous nieces and nephews; her sister Eve Brenkus, her great grandchildren Everett and Emery Sewell.
Sally was preceded in death by her loving husband “Dave" Spraul, her sisters Joan (Stephen) Shepherd, Diane (William) Weldy, her parents Louis “ Val “ Decker and Martha Decker.
There will be a small immediate family only service in Post Falls, Idaho to inter Sally’s ashes with her husband Dave at the Evergreen Cemetery Military Commemorative Wall.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to a local charity of choice or in a quick prayer. Some of Sally’s favorite charities were Kiwanis Club, Meals on Wheels, Catholic charities, and St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Blessed and lucky we all are to have had Sally in our lives. She leaves a great legacy of love, compassion, fun loving, hard working, caring and Christian faith with us.
