

He was pre-deceased by his Mom and Dad, Freida and Otto and his infant daughter, Elaine Marie.
Tuver was born December 12, 1921, in Everett, WA. the eldest of three boys to Otto and Freida. He attended Lake Stevens schools and graduated in 1940 from Lake Stevens High School (Pink Palace).
Tuver joined the U.S. Navy in October 1942 and proudly served in the Seabee’s 38th Battalion as a Machinist’s Mate 1st Class until his Honorable Discharge on December 7, 1945.
Tuver met his wife of 68 years, Evelyn (Erickson), in the summer of 1942 at the dance hall at Lundeen Park and they were married October 14, 1944.
Tuver took over the family farm following his discharge from the Navy, continued to run it as a dairy farm for about 20 years, got out of the dairy business and began raising beef cattle. He then went to work at Agnew Hardware as the warehouse foreman and retired in 1983. Tuver turned over the operation of the farm to his son, Judd, about 15 years ago.
Tuver is survived by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn; son Judd, daughter Jill and husband Jim. Granddaughters Renee and husband Jeff; Lori, Elaine and husband Jim; Grandson Ryan and wife Madeline; Great-Grandson Zachary, Great- Granddaughters Stephanie, Samantha and Reese. Brothers; Bud and wife Eileen and their family; Dave and wife Connie and their family; and close family friend Vickie.
Tuver was a founding and lifetime member of the American Legion Post #181 and Lake Stevens Kiwanis where, in the past, also served as Post Commander and President, respectively. Tuver served on the Lake Stevens School Board and as PTA President, was a member of the Lake Stevens 6AM Water Ski Club and an Honorary Retired Member of the Teamsters.

Dad truly lived his life as a member of the “Greatest Generation”; an honest, humble and hard working man who loved his family, his country and his farm.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 6th, at 11:00 am at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 2111 - 117th Avenue NE, Lake Stevens.
