

Angelina (Fannucci) Lombardi, 99, of Solvay, passed away Saturday March 22, 2014 at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. Born in Sugar Notch, PA to the late Enrico and Egina (Beluci) Fannucci, she lived in Solvay over 45 years. A Veteran of World War II, Angelina served with the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps. She was a member of the Solvay Tigers Auxiliary, longtime communicant of St. Cecilia Church and member of its Altar and Rosary Society. Angeline was predeceased by her son Enrico in 1991.
Angelina’s family wishes to thank Dr. Iraqi, Fr. James and the staff of the 8th floor at the VAMC for their love, support and care.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Gina (Bob) Martin, of Skaneateles and Felicia (Carol Slagle) Lombardi, of Syracuse, 2 step-grandchildren; Shawn and Julie, 3 sisters; Lena Swiderski, of Mount Pocono, PA, Lindy Lico and Inez Cancilla, both of CA, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:45 am Wednesday March 26, 2014 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am at St. Cecilia Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Private burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday March 25, 2014 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
