Anthony J. Scarantino

Anthony J. Scarantino, 85, of Baldwinsville, passed away Friday at Community General Hospital. He was born in Solvay to the late Salvatore and Frances (Piazza) Scarantino. Anthony was an Air Force veteran and retired from Crucible Steel in 1990 where he worked as an inspector. Anthony was a member of the Solvay/Geddes Veterans and was an avid golfer and bowler. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Anne (Sgroi) in 1968, and his second wife, Ruth (Gay) in 1986, a brother and a sister.

He is survived by his son; David (Shay) Scarantino, of Jordan, his daughter; Dawn Scarantino, of Jamesville, 3 grandchildren; Kira Scarantino, Keelan (Robin) Scarantino and Michael Bozzuto, 3 great-grandchildren; a brother; Vincent (Margaret) Scarantino, of Camillus, and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, October 14 from 5 to 7 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay with a funeral service to follow at 7 pm.
