Mrs. Carmella Firenza Greco

Carmella Greco, 91, of Syracuse, passed away Friday September 24th at James Square Health and Rehabilitation Centre. Born in Geneva, she has lived in Syracuse most of her life. She worked the food counter at the former Kresge’s Department Store in downtown Syracuse for several years. Mrs. Greco was a communicant of St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church and a member of the Moose Club. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1979.

She is survived by a son; Angelo (Nancy) Greco, of Solvay, a daughter; Gail Ann (Thomas) Melonis, of Omaha, NE, 4 grandchildren; Jennifer Segar, Peter Greco, Heather McLaughlin and Amara Melonis, 3 great grandchildren; Rose Greco, Ryan Segar and Tom Melonis, a sister; Mary Rose Judware, of Syracuse and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8:45 am Monday September 27th in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am in St. Brigid and St. Joseph Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are from 1 to 4 pm Sunday September 26th at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay.
