

Edward G. Albrigo, 82, of Solvay, passed away Tuesday December 18th at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Solvay to the late John and Angeline (Carnessali) Albrigo. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a pressman at the Herald Journal and Post Standard for over 30 years before retiring in 1992. Edward was a member of the Tyrol Club of Solvay, the Stanley B Pennock VFW Post 2893, Graphic Communication International Union and longtime, active communicant of St. Cecilia Church. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Angeline and a brother, Louis.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Emelia Fontana, a daughter; Angela (Scott) Tennant, of Geneva, IL, 3 sons; Edward, Jr (Mary), of Chantilly, VA, Gerald, of Solvay and Peter (Theresa), of Lakeland, 10 grandchildren; Erica, Peter, Jr, Stephen, Christopher, Andrew, Nicole, Sarah, Madeline, Benjamin and Jason, a brother; Frank Angelo (Julia) Albrigo, of Geddes, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:45 am Saturday December 22nd in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 8:30 am at St. Cecilia Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Friday December 21st at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
