

Edward J. Domres, 86, of Liverpool, passed away Tuesday October 23rd, 2012 at Francis House. Born in Syracuse to Edward and Agnes (Fitzpatrick) Domres, he was a US Navy Veteran of WW II. He was an Industrial Engineer at Chrysler Corporation for 35 years before retiring in 1982. He then served as Acting Justice for the Village of E. Syracuse for 10 years. Edward was a member of the American Legion Post #359 in E. Syracuse and the Elks Lodge #1288 of Fort Myers, FL. He was predeceased by his first wife, Arlene Domres, a daughter, Mary Domres, his brother, John Domres and his sisters, Donna Laveck and Carol Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, the former Nelda Fernandez, 2 daughters; Debra (Richard) Huxley, of Fairport and Linda Domres, of E. Syracuse, 2 sons; James Domres, of Liverpool and Michael (Patricia) Domres, of N. Syracuse, a step-daughter, Barbara (Robert) Lenweaver, of Solvay, 2 step-sons, Joseph Fernandez and Robert (Sandy) Fernandez, both of Liverpool, 2 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:45 am Friday October 26th in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church, Lakeland, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Resurrection Mausoleum, DeWitt. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Thursday October 25th at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Avenue.
