Joseph Marko, 84, of Clay, passed away Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, he lived in Syracuse most of his life. Joe was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a technician at General Electric for over 40 years before retiring. An avid outdoorsman, Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and skin diving.
He is survived by 2 sons; Joseph (Joanie), of Lakeland and Michael (Heidi), of Camillus, 4 grandchildren; Charissa Mirra, Joey (Stephanie) Marko, Lauren (Antonio) Poccia and Danielle Marko, 3 great-grandchildren; Ateya, Nicole and Antonio, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 am Monday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours are noon to 3 pm Sunday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave.
