Julie Louise (Cellana) Ryan, 70, of Jordan, died Tuesday September 24, 2013 at home with her family by her side; she will be missed dearly by family and friends. Julie grew up, married, raised four children, and enjoyed a wonderful life in Solvay. She retired from Real Estate Sales with her Broker’s License in 2012; a feat of which she was quite proud. In retirement, she and her husband, Jim, moved to Jordan into the brick ranch Julie always wanted.
When God made Julie he broke the mold. She was like a “Pied Piper” to all children that were lucky enough to meet her. She was adored by her husband, children, and grandchildren and had many wonderful friends and family members who kept her life full and happy until the end (thank you).
Julie was a gifted quilt maker, a generous and charitable ‘supporter’ to several casinos, a longtime card and bingo player, an avid fan of the Food Network, a Pogo prodigy, and a wonderful baker and cook. Her delicious spaghetti and meatballs, chicken soup, and Christmas pistachio cookies will be missed by all.
Julie is survived by her loyal husband of 51 years, James Ryan, and her four children: Wendy Ryan, Patrick (Tracey) Ryan, Suzanne (Lee) Badman, and Kitty (Kenny) Ryan–Palmisano. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren: Jim Ryan and Matthew Fabrizio; Maggie and Jack Ryan; Ryan, Tom and Kate Badman; Nicole and Michael Palmisano; and many nieces and nephews.
Her family will miss Julie and will think of her always the way she would hope us to – with a smile.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 8:45 am in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, and 9:30 am in St. Cecilia Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.
