Louis J. Pieklik, Jr., 89, of Solvay, passed away Sunday at the VA Medical Center. Born in Syracuse to Louis and Rose (Berlinski) Pieklik, he was a US Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was a precision cylindrical grinder at Carrier Corporation for 40 years before retiring. Louis was predeceased by his son, James, son-in-law, Donald and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Muriel Servoss, a daughter; Nancy Coonley, of NH, a daughter-in-law; Betty Pieklik, of FL, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 am Thursday in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay.
