Rose Anne (Sacco) LaValle, 93, of Solvay, is reunited in heaven with her husband of 68 years, Vincent L. LaValle. Daughter of Francisco and Teresa Sacco, Rose Anne attended both Onondaga Community College and Syracuse University. Over the years she held many challenging positions, including administrative aide to directors of the New York State Fair. Rose Anne worked for the Selective Service System as an auditor during the Korean War and became a Chief Clerk. She was Deputy Tax Receiver for the Town of Geddes and a Supervisor of the Accounting Unit of the Onondaga County Probation Department, from which she retired in 1986. She was an active volunteer for St. Camillus Rehabilitation and Health Center, the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Auxillary and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She also was a life member of the Onondaga County Women’s Republican Club, St. Joseph’s Guild Senior Citizen group, CSEA Retirees Club and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Rose Anne loved her family dearly and was always the first one to cook a holiday meal, babysit or bake biscotti. She always was ready to lend an ear or have pasta and meatballs with her many nieces and nephews, whom she doted on. She balanced a work career while raising her children and was a selfless and tireless mother. Her devotion to her husband Vincent is the love story that movies are made of, and they were a loving couple from the first day they met. She is predeceased by her husband Vincent, her sister Vienna and her brother Frank.
Survivors are three daughters, Anne LaValle Jakowenko, Terry LaValle, Francie DeLuccia (Dr. William) and five grandchildren, Stefan Jakowenko (Dana), Adam Jakowenko, Sam DeLuccia, Luke DeLuccia and Elena DeLuccia, her sister-in-law and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
