Sylvia (DeLucia) Winchell

Sylvia M. (DeLucia) Winchell, 93, of Solvay, passed away Wednesday January 15, 2014 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. She was born in Syracuse to the late Antonio and Antoinette (Barbetta) DeLucia. Sylvia was employed by Geddes Federal Savings & Loan Association for many years before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband, William in 1993, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

She is survived by her daughter; Barbara Benjamin, of North Syracuse; 4 grandchildren; Joseph (Erin) Peters, Stephanie (Anthony) Colavita, Christopher Benjamin, and Tracy Glowacki; four great-grandchildren; Matthew & Bradley Glowacki and Julianna & Ava Colavita; a sister; Nancy Baichi, of Solvay; sister-in-law Margaret Brigandi, of Syracuse and many nieces, nephew, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 18, 2014 at 8:15 am in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, and 9 am in St. Cecilia Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.

Calling hours are Friday January 17, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.
