Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal. He was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Furtado) Correia. Carlos emigrated to Bermuda before settling in Massachusetts when he was twenty-four.
Carlos worked as a Shift Manager at Quaker Fabric for more than 30 years and in recent years was employed as a School Bus Driver by Fisher Co. for 16 years.
Carlos was an avid sports fan, especially the New England Patriots. In his youth, he played soccer during his time living in Bermuda. He enjoyed playing darts and being outside either gardening or landscaping. He took immense pride in his home and even built a substantial portion of his family’s former home in Somerset.
Besides his wife, Carlos is survived by two daughters, Beth Griffith of Westport and Amy King of Dartmouth; three grandsons, Cash Griffith, Owen King, and Maverick Mendonca; one brother, Gil Correia of Bermuda; his nephew, Vitor Correia of Sao Miguel, Portugal as well as several other nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jaime and Antonio Correia.
His visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carlos’ honor may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
