Mr James jim H. Crossley Jr.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late James H. Crossley Sr. and Georgianna (Whalon) Crossley, he had been a lifelong area resident.

A graduate of Coyle and Cassidy High School, he received his Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree in Education from Providence College. He worked as a school teacher for the Portsmouth School Department for over thirty years before retiring in 2000. Mr. Crossley was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and enjoyed going to Magoni’s Restaurant.

He is survived by two daughters: Kathleen Brooks and Karen Sedoma and one son: James H. Crossley III and his wife Karen Lynn all of Fall River, four grandchildren: Jeremy Brooks, Jocelyn Sedoma, Mackenzie Crossley, Kylie Marcoux, one great-grandson: Logan Cowen, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Kristine Marcoux.

His Funeral will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 9:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Patrick’s Church, 306 South Street, Somerset. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in his honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101. Burial private.
